Displaying ads on your blog is one of the easiest and fastest ways to start making money with a blog. If you’re not used to hearing about ad networks, there are popular ad networks that are widely used to monetize blogs.
You must have a blog with unique, well-written blog posts to be approved for Adsense and these ad networks and they will automatically show ads to your blog visitors based on the context of your article and the user’s interests.

2. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate advertising is one of the most profitable ways to make money from a mid-level blog.
The best thing is that you can make more money than one click on the ads you place through ad networks on your blog.
In fact, Affiliate marketing is the most profitable way I have used to make money from my blog since I started.
It is popular among most of the bloggers today and most of the big brands also offer affiliate programs with their products.
All you need to do is, join related affiliate programs in your blog niche and share unique affiliate links of the products you recommend to your blog visitors.
When someone makes a purchase from your affiliate link, you will earn a huge commission on the sale amount.
In the screenshot below, you can see one of my affiliate earnings from an affiliate program I joined:
Here are some popular Affiliate marketing markets and programs you can join:
- Amazon Affiliate Program
- Impact Radius
- Fiverr Affiliate
- CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction)
There are various types of affiliate programs, from online services to web hosting, website builders, VPNs, travel, finance, fashion, beauty, fitness and more.
So, you can easily find the best affiliate programs in any niche to join and make money with your blog.
However, each affiliate program has its own agreement. When you join a program, you need to consider how the affiliate program will work for you and You have to express it the fact that you are an affiliate of your readers.
Sponsored content, blog posts, or reviews can be a great way to make money on your blog. Simply put, a sponsored blog post is when a blogger gets paid to talk about a product or brand on their blog.
These kinds of posts can be product reviews, recommendations, or articles about services or companies with links to web pages.
The best way to start a sponsored blog post is to register to a network that connects sponsors and publishers.
4. Sell Digital Products
Selling digital products on your blog can be a great way to increase your income. In fact, most of the top bloggers sell their own products such as eBooks.
Digital products such as eBooks have many advantages and are interesting to sell to many blog readers if you really make them with added value for your niche.
You and sell them on your blog or on Amazon and you can use other online marketplaces like Etsy to list whether your products are related to some category.
Here are some of the best digital product choices to sell with your blog:
- Stock Photo/Video
- Printed goods
- 3D models
- Audio (Jingles, Ringtone, Sound Effects)
- WordPress themes/plugins
- Graphic elements
- Lightroom/Photoshop Presets
Plus, creating and selling templates for various purposes like resume social media templates, media kits, logos, and printed goods is quite easy and you can make money by selling things that readers really need.
A simple example of a template is this Canva Pinterest template which I listed on the Etsy marketplace.
I designed it to use with Canva’s graphic design tool for ease of use, but you can also create templates to use with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
5. Launch an Online Course
If you can turn text-based eBooks into video tutorials, selling online courses is a great knowledge-based digital product for generating new passive income.
There are lots of courses out there on a variety of topics so you can make more money with online courses in any field.
But it really requires hard work and you also need to create valuable course content in a great format.
If you don’t know how to create and launch a course, all you need to do is visit Teachable, sign up for free, and start creating courses with no technical experience.
Additionally, another big thing is editing videos for your course content. This can be very time consuming if you use the wrong tools.
